With the referendum dew please look after yourself and do not get taken in with all the spin that is being given out.

There are people going about our bit doing a survey on behalf of East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ). There is a genuine survey being carried out & the people doing it have their I D on display. if you or a venerable person you know has a visit you can check their  I D If you have any dough  do not let them in just shut the door on them and contact the police. It is better to get someone checked out it they could be fraudsters up to no good

Good morning all please take care all I have been informed that some of the  people from the no group for the referendum are still using project fear by telling people that there pension's will stop if there is a yes vote,  This is not true.

Well the temperature is starting to drop please do not forget the chill factor. This can be several degrees lower. People who have mobility issues can be affected by this more so when they are just sitting on a chair having to put up with day time T V. It's the weekend

Hi gang

Just waiting for reply to e mail's I have sent regarding The Wall & the cost of repairs to The Stairs I hope for a reply next week..

I would like to ask people in our wee bit to take their bind in after collection. I ask this after I requested that the various blue bins that had cross contaminated wast left in and therefore not uplifted be uplifted along with the general uplift. This has been completed. Please comply with the instructions regarding recycling. The council has a statuary obligation to recycle and reduce landfill.

Yesterday people my have seen two men taking photographs in our bit. The men are from one of the contractors involved in the roofing & rendering contracts. It is hoped that the much needed work will star soon.

An other day

Good morning all

To day I will be attending a meeting with East Renfrewshire Council ( E R) I hope to be able to pressure for action on The Wall. Something must be done about this situation.

  
This road is a major access rout to our wee bit E R should take action to repair this wall now. I do understand that the high cost involved but I belie that cost is no excuse.

One question springs to mind it may be cheaper if there is a land slip then build a new retaining wall.

The main issue is safety which is paramount and without question this in the most important part of the mater.  

You can help revitalise our bit perhaps you can think of something for our wee hall

  
  
Do not forget that it is our hall and could be put to more & better use but it needs you & others to get together and get things moving to improve our home area. Please give it some consideration.

The steps update

It appears that the work on repairing The Steps has reached conclusion. A long long wait.
 So on with the campaign for The Wall.

  The derelict factory off Gladstone Av Barrhead. Something must & will be done this is dangerous.

Saturday news

I was pleased to see that work to refurbish the hand rails at the stairs was under way yesterday. I will get photo latter. ( camera on loan ).

That is one major issue complete now for.          


THE WALL.

This is the next part of the great campaign perhaps we should have a sit down demo to get repair work started.On the other hand if it falls down that may stop the rat run through our wee bit which we all know is another issue.

Hi all have you moved home recently and have a card meeter are you paying to much. It has came to my attention that it is possible that your suppler may not be aware that there is someone new at your address. You could be paying for someone else's debt. If you think  you are paying o much ask your suppler to check.  I am aware of a case where this has happened.

Can you spare 20hrs a year that is all ew ask to be able to assist us in the effort to improve our lot give it a try.

You can phone in to 0141 577 36895 or 8505 or you can pick up a form from E R offices. There will be a version on line,The survey will start on the  18th August 2014 I will post a link then.

Please complete the survey you could win  £50.00 in vouchers.

The only way service's can improve is if E R receive feed back on services and the best person to do this is you the customer.

A wet Sunday

Well it is a wet Sunday so if you are going out take your umbrella with you. Stay dry and take care of your self.

As the summer draws to a close it is important to insure that you have your gas serviced. If  you are a tenant of East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ) they will arrange it for you through their contractor Saltire      
As a tenant of  E R you should have a certificate from the last time it was serviced please check the date. You gas appliances must be serviced. This is no joke.

 Take care of you & yours.

Yesterday when out and about I was having a round table chat with various people from across the socio-economic political divide. The conversation drifted to the alarming need for food banks in our neighbourhood in 2014. All this small cross section of our community were of the same opinion that this was a disgrace.

Good morning

 After yesterdays on site conference by  East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ) staff it is to be hoped  that something will be done about the wheelie bin situation. I understand that several options are under consideration.




The wonderful staff from  E R have at last found out what has been happening with the drain issue .
I trust that this matter is now resolved.

I also understand that the roof and rendering work is going ahead.

We have had a visit about the wheel bins soothing is being done we will be glad.

Well that is the work completed issue with drains and water coming in appears to have been completed

Not happy

My neighbours and myself have to wait in again to allow the council workforce access to try and finely repair the situation regarding water coming in every time there ie heavy rain. We shall see.

Rant

The ranting continues

  

I understand that we will be getting a visit from East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ) staff in relation to the sate of the roof. We the tenants cannot continue to live under the conditions, every time we have heavy rain there is water entering our homes. This a serious issue with young children in the block .

One family were unable to bath there young child. I hope that  E R will insure that this issue is brought to a speedy conclusion.


This is about peoples lives wellbeing and safety we have the right to live in a safe environment.

Also The Wall action will continue.
