Well the saga of road works in Kelburn St continues. I understand that there is a requirement on utility Coy's
should inform others to enable where possible work is carried out at the same time there by hoping to reduce disruption.

Our wee bit on 29/05/2014 a Thursday

I am still waiting for replies to inquires about the roads repair's and the stair's on yesterdays post .
Yesterday East Renfrewshire Council ( E R) staff out doing a patch up of the pot holes.All to soon it will  be all patches.


Our meeting with Barrhead Housing was cancelled dew to illness and will be rescheduled info to follow

Hi all just a few shots off the steps at Gertrude Pl  Dalmeny Dr  Barrhead 

Some thing will happen. This was higlited at our last estate walk about.

       

        I have E mailed this to the correct department of East Renfrewshire Council  ( E R )
  The stairs may have to be closed of as a temporary measure the ramp which is just off picture to the left is O K. This discussion will be taken by E R staff on what action should be taken.

                               Good morning all Just had a bit of a lie in and enjoyed every bit of it.

          Still not happy about the state of the wall in Barren St Barrhead something will happen.

    The pot holes are getting worse. I have highlighted this at every walk about no real response so far but I will ask each chance I get.

               Not really in our wee bit but we all are waiting for the new Asda store opening.

To-night I will be at a meeting Barrhead Housing ( B H ) the main item is their response to the Scottish Housing Regulator. I have seen the reply & it looks in good order.

                                   Good morning all Monday in our wee bit are you off to day ?.

If you have to go out to work did you have a issue about getting out of Barrhead. Our local bus coy is running a restricted service not everyone will be off most retail stores are working normal hours.
I would be interested for views on this issue.

Chapel St Barrhead

Chapel St Barrhead 

This is some mess that some people leave our countryside in. We have to pay for the clean up. I for one can think of better use  for my C Tax contribution.

     

Tesco Barrhead

  This is just as bad,but was soon taken care of by a third bin & increasing uplift days.The point is that the contractor will leave stuff on the ground, The means council staff have to pick all this up. This takes time and money. If more care were taken and people behaved in a responsible manner our C Tax pound could be spent on other services. Perhaps on care for the vulnerable & infirm.

It may appear that people have driven to both locations. East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ) wast recycling unit is located off Carlibar Rd Barrhead.

           Also this is only a short drive from the premises of Re Useit in Murial St Barrhead.

Not a lot happening in our we bit I see that Scottish Water have been at it again digging op the road in Kelburn St again.

I see the fly tippers have been out in force again soiling our we bit sad sad.

                                              Saturday morning & the weather is changing.

 As the weather changes so dose the rest of things on in East Renfrewshire ( E R ). I see changes some good some bad.

I have sent an  E mail about the state the roads & pathways around our area most of which had been highlighted during our estate walkabout. I hope to see an improvement soon.

Just having a look at the what had been accomplished as a result of the estate walkabout. In the greater picture of things not much but it improves our wee bit. We thank East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ) for the walkabout.

Do you have any issue that require attention as we are dew to have a second one on Friday the 27/6/2014 @ 10.00 hrs. Please contact us if you have anything to report. We will try to assist E R will have staff at next walkabout an as usual are wiling to help.

It is possible that if we work together we can achieve something wonderful for our wee park's both in Gateside & Dalmeny. Our near neighbours Aurthurlie  T R A  have received funding for the play area in Carnock Cr. I rememberer trying to play football on the old blaze pitch. That stuff hurt during sliding tackles. Still we are glad they have received funding.

Please think about joining us.

Have you any views on the successfully mixed tenure project ?. This together with the rendering program will  be a great improvement to our living conditions. Please help by keeping the place tidy.

                     I see that the temperature is rising but please think on the elderly & vulnerably  
                                 Too much heat can be just as bad a too much clod.


I have revived comment about the roof & rendering program in some instances the cavity wall program has been carried out after the roof & rendering. I have been assured that there will be a clean up to insure the outside is at it's best.

The complaint about contractors leaving scaffolding lying around after complexion is being investigated. One explanation is it is to save the contractor money. It being cheaper just to leave it at on site other than transport it away & store before it is required at a new site. Yes we all understand the cost of transportation, but we do not wish to live in a  ( I did for one when young as did countless others)

                                Good morning all I hope that all are keeping well.

                  The cavity wall work is proceeding and I hope for warmer homes.

It has came to my attention that during the roof & rendering work some people have suffered a loss of  T V & phone service. Have you been affected?, Please let us know the in order to insure that the contractors comply with checks and insure that vulnerable people are not put at risk. Please check on any vulnerable relative on neighbour.

Still on about people getting in to a bit of a spot over money. Should you have any issues please seek help. 

East Renfrewshire Council  ( E R ) have a money advice service please use this service.

           You can can contact this service from  E R at the office in Main St Barrhead.  

   One of the benefits of using this E R service is that it can assist in arraigning payment of any housing debt or C tax debt. The will contact all other creditor's and arrange a payment plan.Do not suffer sleepless nights help is there. ( 0141 577 3001) for information or just call in.  

                        This service from  E R is free and any one can use this very good service. 

The Citizens Advice office is situated on Main St Barrhead just across the road from the council offices.

We are still looking for people to join us and get things moving. Do you have any idea's of things to bring more to our wee hall. We will be pleased to assist in brining anything to improve the use of our hall. We can recommend was of getting funding to run things. Please get in contact with us.

Just had a walk around our wee bit.I am pleased to see that some of the things that we raised during our estate walk about have been carried our. The larger issue we wait an hope. Sincere thanks for all that has been done.

It's raining

Was at a meeting this morning down in Voluntary Action was all about the various ailments that can affect anyone of us at any time. A very good morning do you or any one you know have health issues there is a wealth of help out there. I will post information as soon as links are sent to me.
