Please check that any vulnerable person is getting all their entitlements it must be remembered that  that despite what the tabloids say about benefit scroungers there sis far more that no claimed by people in need than taken by fraud..

Also as stated in the add in the Barrhead News there is the free money advice ran by East Renfrewshire council. You can also have benefit check to see if there is anything that you are dew please use it .

I have received a mail in the lease of the hall to Barrhead Boxing Club I await confirmation that the hall will still be there for any community use. I will post information A S A P .

I hope to revive communication from anyone in fear of he bed room tax. Had a few up to date and all were people who have been misinformed. Please do not listen to idle chat get proper advice and help.

We are sad and upset at the concern that the up and coming ' bedroom tax' will affect people

There is a lot of misunderstanding about what is happening there are people employed in various government departments who do not understand the whole thing.Our local council & the various housing associations are doing their best. It has became apparent during various meetings that we have attended there is considerable concern over this issue. Please do not take it out on the person you speak to it is not their fault.

Please if you have any concern please get advice early contact your rent office on the  citizens advice.

Back in September 2012 we contacted the council about the state of the pavement in Blackwood St .Barrhead. At that time we were informed that we were on a list for repair our ranking on the list was at that time 110 out of 200. 

In the mean time your blogger tripped and fell although uninjured I riper a good pair of designer jeans.I have lodged again a complaint about the state of the pavement. I will not hold my breath waiting to see if any repairs take place.I do not have the nerve to claim for damaged jeans as they are years old and well washed. If you have  any issues about this pavement please inform the council or git in touch with us.

We can all help our council by getting in touch early if you have any benefit claims I understand that they are under some pressure with all that welfare reform brings. You can help them and your self by having all information to hand when calling. 

 You should consider having a check with money first at the council office.The staff will do there best to help.

In closing to-days rant I go back to the changes in welfare you all may of heard the bit about taking in a lodger this has been put about in a bad way. It cam to my attention that one old vulnerable person had been misinformed that she would be forced take in a lodger.This is total c*** .Fill word in for your self.

THE STILL GAME

To day at the  much advertised and acclaimed Still Game which is held in St Mirren Football Park  Paisley. The main event was from Strathclyde Fire & Rescue this proved to be a very good event There is an offer of a free check various decors also supplied and fitted free.                     Yes this is how I feel

I have been spoken to by various vulnerable people who are working them self's in to a state about the implementation of the shameful bedroom tax. Your association will be attending a briefing on this alarming issue next week.  We will report back. In the mean time please check with the council or the citizens advice.
There may be benefits which you may be entitled to you would not be a so called scrounger you may have payments dew. For what it is worth there are many times the amount not claimed than is lost in benefit fraud but the right wing press will not report on this. Is the cold weather is back. I was watching a program on one of the digital  T V channels it was put out that there is a report that some vulnerable people  are turning heating off and opening windows in the hope they will fall asleep and  hops not to wake up. If you know anyone do something.
