Good morning all

Its day brake over Barrhead  ( E R ) and Gateside & Dalmeny is looking just fine. During Mondays walkabout we had a word with the contractor's working on the flats in Kerr St . We are happy to report the work is going ahead just fine. I hope to see some work started on some serious issues we have in our wee bit of  E R.

A good day

Well that is the estate walkabout completed. We were joined by two tenants and we had a very productive afternoon. Various issues were raised together with submission received via link on blog. I thank you for this.

We have been assured that all issue will receive attention.There will be a follow up visit regarding the issue of bins & collection's.

               Tomorrow I hope to complete the delivery of flyers for our meeting in our wee hall.

What would you like to see happening in our area do you have any ideas that could bring more things to our wee hall any ideas would be welcome.

You may have seen that work is progressing with the insulation program. I hope this will help with rising heating bills.

Good morning all I hope all are keeping well this fine day. just because it is getting warm dose not mean that vulnerable people do not still feel cold.There are vulnerable people who have home care this can mean that some people are being helped out of bead and just put in a chair till bed time.

Do you have any payment hardships you can contact East Renfrewshire Council 's ( E R) money advice. You can contact them by calling 0141 577 3001 or calling in at the office in Main St Barrhead

Also the  R R citizens advice is just across the road of assistance on any other matter.

Hi all to day there was a large delivery of wood to Kerr St Barrhead. Not long till some of the vacant flats are back in use.

Good morning all I am pleased to see that work is well under way with the cavity wall work in our area. I was speaking to one of the contractors staff who,as it turned out was from Barrhead & had not been back for 20 years. He was sad about some thing happy about other things.

                                                   Just taught I would re post this picture.

I would welcome any help in the effort to revive our area and the use & improvement of our wee hall.

 
At the top of this blog I commented about one of the contractors who came from Barrhead this was one of the thing he recalls being used for wedding receptions.

Had a good meeting with Barrhead Housing ( B H ) & East Renfrewshire Council  ( E R ). We have completed arrangements for a meeting in our wee hall on Thursday 6th May at 2.00 pm .

East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ) are installing cavity wall insulation to day what a noise.Still it may help with the heating bills.

Off out meetings al day I have just dropped in for a quick  bite to eat in the big Barrhead Travel shop in Glasgow. The one near  Glasgow Central Station nice role & sausage.

Next week I will be having a meeting with East Renfrewshire staff  & the nice people from  Barrhead Housing to arrange our public meeting next month
