After the roof & rendering work a lot better

Not part of this years revamp program but it is important to note that in this picture flats have been bought back by E R. The flats require a lot of work to bring them up to standard.

During the works we has scaffolding all over the place the little visitor gave me quite a start when it decided to clime up the scaffold & sit at my window looking in to see what I was up to.

An aerial view of our wee bit Kerr St & Gertrude Pl Barrhead. The building top centre was the old fire station before that during W W 2 it was a decontamination centre. The fields behind were put to good use by us when we were young.

OK the building required repair

  

They now look good how ever there is lots of snagging requiring to be attended to .

Staff from East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ) have been around if you see them speak out.

The works in Gertrude pl

How I feel about the works

 This is Gertrude Pl Barrhead  before scaffolding & works start

Scaffolding up but this is disgraceful people have to clime through this to feed power meeter. Not safe would be an understatement

     View the other side would or could you climb through this just to put card in for gas. Do not forget this was taken during the winter.

A morning visitor gave me quite a turn. This little thing came up the scaffolding just to give me a fright. Not quite cat was all over the place & will be at a loss now scaffolding is gone.

Almost finished we live in hope as hope is all that is sometimes left.

 Top soil arrived this morning I think we will require more than on bag.We shall see.

This is just a short selection of the mess we have had to  live with or perhaps exist with is not an overstatement.

Hi all

Just to re post East Renfrewshire Council ( E R) have been hard at work replacing other lamppost.
Some of the post seem to be in poor condition. Now E R have been replacing the post as speed I wonder why ?.
