To day I was at a short meeting with various other down in the council offices. We were given a verry good presentation on the council's thirty year business plan.

Like you before the meeting I asked my self 30 years? but on hearing the presentation it became clear why so long.

It is too long and cumbersome to post here but all this will be in the public domain soon in the council offices.

   After our photo shoot yesterday we will be getting out and about with flyer's for our meeting.

On Friday we will be attending a meting with other groups and East Renfrewshire Council
we will be tacking part in the discussion on the 30 year business plan.We will publish information on this and other matters over the coming weekend. There will be a report at our meeting on this and our vision for the way ahead.

What would you like to see happening here in Dalmeny there is so much to be achieved we all can have a better place only if we pull together .

On a serious note it has came to my attention that there are cold caller out and about again.Please be careful. We are hoping to introduce a no cold calling zone in our area. More at our meeting do you have any views contact us .

      Well that's the photo run completed I did not take my camera with me but I am pleased to report that the Levern burn is now clear. I wish I had taken my camera with me I left it lying on table so thanks to Mr B Coles of East Renfrewshire Council for doing photo's for the estate management agreement.

 Latter on to day we will be out on the photo shoot for the estate management agreement which will be out soon. This will include a wealth of information about our bit of Scotland what is happening loads of contacts from  East Renfrewshire Council & Barrhead Housing  Association.

Not much to say apart from information has been recived about a multi agency event being hosted at Hampden Park. This will involve Strathclyde Police and others I understand that this will be held during November 2012 more information soon.

Yesterday I attended a meeting with various other T R A's and other bodies . The meeting was about the Scottish Social Charter & other housing matters. We were consulted on a number of issues about changes to housing in Scotland.

To day I attended a meeting with Barrhead Housing & East Renfrewshire Council to finalise the format of our next meeting which will be held in our wee hall on Tuesday 11Th September 2012 @ 1.00 pm. ( note this is a day time meeting )  .Please come allong if you can .

                                                         Now what will we do to day?.
             I have just completed my bit for our next meeting which will be held in  
                                                               our wee hall.  

             

Well see what thought has done thought  it would be nice to day did not see whether forecast so only too light top out with me. So I got all wet I feel sorry for me.

Any way I have been doing some more research on a no cold calling zone and have found it to be a success where it has been put in place. .

I must get a dry day to get a new photo of our wee hall.

Remember our park is a nice wee park it is you wee park so come allong with any ides about use of it.

On the news in Dalmeny we attended a meeting in the council offices on Friday

We reviewed the communications between East Renfrewshire Council and all who live in our wee bit of the country. This was a good meeting an several points were raised it is hoped  communication  will improve

Next Friday we will be having a meeting with Barrhead Housing & the Council on our local estate management agreement.

Your next association meeting will be held during September there will be guest speaker at this exciting meeting.

We still are pushing for grater action on the cold calling issue and there will be more on this.

This is not grassing on anyone the cold callers could be targeting one of you old or infirm relatives.

Following our meeting one of the issues raised was the cost of special uplifts and the increase in fly tipping.All our regular readers will know this blog has led a tireless camping about this issue. If you have any views in this important issue pleas get in touch.   

Our aerial roving reporter informs us that there appears to be an increase in this practice .

 This all cost's time and money to clean up. This is money that has to come from you the tax payer. 

       

                                                There are options take your refuge to the council facility,call up and arrange a special uplift. This at present is only £20.00 pounds a lot less than a fine for fly tipping.

You could call reuse it to arrange uplift and you would know that the goods would be recycled.

Last night we attended the Housing Services Liaison Group (H S L G ). This was a good and productive meeting and it is hoped this will pave the way forward  to improve the way we interact with East  Renfrewshire  Council (E R ) together with all other groups in E R.

FROM LITTLE BIRD

Thing are moving on with the idea of a no cold calling zone. We are in touch with other  T R A & other organizations. We hope to have a joined up approach to this issue .

During our enquiries it is becoming apparent this is a big issue. Almost everyone that I have spoken to comes up with an example of inappropriate approaches, them self or someone the know or perhaps a  vulnerable relative.

We are in the process of compiling the details of a no cold calling zone for Dalmeny area. This has proven success in stopping cold colling of all sorts. This valuable tool assists in protecting our old and vulnerable citizens.

If approved there would be signs on lamppost indicating that this is a no cold calling area and cold callers should keep out.

I have contacted East Renfrewshire Council about fly tipping and have been assured that the relevant department is aware of the situation and are tacking action.
