Monday morning meeting went well lots of good information on the way forward for passing out information to all tenants in East Renfrewshire ( E R ). The main part was what the format of the report that E R will be sending out to all tenants by the end of the year. It is hoped that it will be an easy read.

 This is at the top of Chapel St Barrhead East Renfrewshire.Your blogger recalls the area from youth there was a small garden center and a number of small works nature is now reclaiming the the area I wonder what the people of the future will think.

On Monday I will be off to a meeting in the council offices.This is about what is being called customer involvement and the preparation of the council's annual report. I will post more latter.

Do you or any one that you know dew to retire please get advice to make sure everything is in place on time.
I thought it would be a simple matter bit trying to read and complete all the paper work was a nightmare.

The long time empty block is a sad reflection on our wee bit of Barrhead. There is much needed houses including a four apartment I will continue to try to get more information on when something will be done. At present I understand the council are seeking legal advice on the issue.

It is hoped that work will continue with the roofing and rendering of our area.This is all included in the 2013/14 plan of works.

   

 

Just how I feel about repairs service there is historical issues about water entering part of the building it is only to apparent that there is something far wrong with records. Good as the staff are there are constant calls for access to check the same issues. It is to be hoped that when the new I T system comes in that time will be found  to input some of the historical repairs,checks or any other issue.

                          I do not blame the staff they are working under great pressure.

In the mean time do not forget that we could do with some help in getting our wee group back up and running please contact  us if you can assist. I could do with some help with distributing flyers ect for any meetings.

I am still waiting for complete feed back on our estate walk around I have had one and reported back to the person involved.

Good morning all the son has risen over Dalmeny we hope for a new day tomorrow I will be attending a meeting with the hope of revitalizing our wee group. To morrow evening I will also be at a briefing on various things for us oldies. I will post any information when I have everything to hand.

Is anyone out there having issues in getting their benefits sorted out I have concern about the amount of vulnerable elderly not getting the just payments.

It has cam to our attention that some people are not claiming for fear of being called a pension scrounger.

Well we had a nice day on Saturday. I hope to see a some feed back from the estate walk about. Is there anyone out there having issues with the bedroom tax please take all the help that is available .

  

Well our walkabout went OK I thank all from East Renfrewshire Council (E R ) & Barrrhead Housing (B H) for attending. We hope fore improvements in our we bit of the planet & Dalmeny will be a good place to live.
Next week I will be attending a meeting with E R& B H to plan the way forward for our group .

Good morning all I see that the preparations for our estate workaround are in place. I wish it was left as it was warts and all. It is not a bad place but we could make it a grate place to live in and for people to bring their kids up. We have a very good park which is not being used.

      

 

 

 

As you see we have C C T V in the park which provides increases security for all.

Good morning all I was at a meeting on Tuesday down at the council offices. This was about the East Renfrewshire tenants & residents federation.All went very well all things are moving forward.

On local matters together with the local group in Eagelsham  we will be re grouping more on this soon.

       On Friday there is a planed estate walk around I will confirm date a and time soon.

                    Sad times there is food bank about to open up soon in East Renfrewshire .

Hi all I could not access blog for some reason. Well the weather is getting warmer. Tomorrow the 11th April there is the usual event down in Voluntary Action this month topic is the steamie any one remember this come along for a good after noon.

Anyone having trouble with welfare reform remember the C A B or the councils money advice. Do not suffer in silence.

                            The photo above shows the long empty block. We await information on just when we will see work restart on this building. One thing is certain we need the flats.Information at this time is work stopped when the contractor went bust. It appears that there are legal issues which require attention.I will not hold my breath.

      I have contacted our council again about the state of the pavement in Blackwood St. Yes we all know that there has to be cuts but at what cost to safety. We have vulnerable people around.
