Hi all went to a meeting with East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ). The meeting was about estate walk about's .
This proved to be a good productive meeting and lots of ground was covered.

We hope to see a much better response from E R after future walkabouts with improvement all around.

Hi All

Yes I am not a happy sweetie along with others we have posted requests that we all look after vulnerable people. Now some of our high and mighty leaders ( that's is what they like to think about them self s )  are calling for this. Asking us to poop in and see if some one is o k & there heating is on. This is fine but can they afford to pay for the cost ?.

                                                                 What do we do?

               If only I knew I would not be sitting typing this in I would be out there working on the issue.

                                                          Now for some local issues.

Our local food bank is looking for donations please give if you can. You can leave goods of at Voluntary Action in Kelburn St Barrhead.

There are people out there who are vulnerable and on need of help do not forget there is the warm homes discount. Please claim if you think you are dew any assistance with paying bills.

 A few yards back from the Google Earth shot above. This is the state of part of our town It interesting to see how nature is reclaiming the land.the sad thing is that there is still lots of fly tipping going on.

The point is that East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ) recycling unit is only ½ a mile away even less if measured from the start of Chapel St .

Its the weekend

Saturday morning and I am reading more mail  from East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ). To be honest we do  not get that much I saw the amount of mail that some of our councillors receive.


Next week I hope to be able to star the arrangements for a public meeting I hope fore some interest.We must start to work together to improve our area other's are getting things going on so can we.

Do not forget to look after each other and in the main any vulnerable people.

Winter is with us

Last night it was a different view from bloger towers it was snowing so once again I plead with you to look after each other and all vulnerable people out there.

|Its cold enough to cause people with medical conditions to deteriorate and develop other illness. It is not only the old there are plenty of people in our community with conditions that being cold dose not help. It is not only the average temperature that can cause issues the chill factor connected to wind increase the issue.

   
         



                                                 
                           


Do not forget it could be you some day.






On Thursday at 1pm there will be a memory lane session in  Voluntary Action Kelburn St Barrhead .

Hi Gang

As the year moves to close we look back over the year some sad some good. One sad point was the need for a food bank in East Renfrewshire however the food bank has seen that several people have revived assistance and some food. Some of the people by the food bank  program in the  U K are in employment struggling to make ends met.

We have others who are being hit hard by the bed room tax. If you have or know any one having issues please get in contact with social services.

                           As a small group we are still looking for people to join us.

       Are you keeping warm rap p when you go out and watch where you walk .

As winter starts to bight keep a few extra tins in the cupboard some of the papers are predicting snow & floods so perhaps it is better to be ready.

               Not much to report but we have a few meetings coming up ant then I will report back.

We read that power  costs will sore in relation to inflation putting more & more people at risk all we can do in reality is to look after each other an insure that the most at risk are looked after.

It was inappropriate of politicians to put out that austerity should not be removed and stay while attending a banquet when people who are in work & still having to ask a food bank for help.

The important part is that comments published in the on line news papers show that there is ground swell opposing some of the measures. Most people know someone who has been affected by the state of things that have happened and are aware that some of the spin in the right wing press is s load of  C#*p

Out on some personal matters sitting in Starbucks the amount of people eating while working is getting alarming the table next to me has to people at a ten seat table paper work all over the place taking up the whole table.

After we finish this and a quick Skype call  to friends a long way from home we are having  meeting about getting some funding for our wee bit of Alba

Rememberer to take care out there and look after each other.

If you are out shopping  do not forget to drop something off for the East Renfrewshire Food Bank you can leave anything at voluntary Action in Kelburn St Barrhead.

Be on the look out for people coming to your door. We have been alerted to the situation that vulnerable people are being targeted. Please look out for any one you may know that may be vulnerable or at risk it may be you one day.
