We hope to have information on the garden project cone allong and get involved in your local comunity. With your input we can make Dalmeny the best place to live in.

Hi gang just a small  spat on  local politics here in East Renfrewshire  Scotland it stinks the bickering between the candidates is getting beyond belief. The comments are getting far to personal to my humble view. I wish it would get back to real local issues and the needs of our neighbourhood.

Anyway the hustings will be over all to soon ant the people will decide.   

As we in Scotland will be using the transferable vote IE 1.2 3. & so on I was just thinking it may be a good thing if we could also put a 0 if we did not like a candidate for every 0 one vote for could be deducted.

Yesterday I observes that the dumping in the burn at the bottom of Cogan St is in the increase . please stop. Can you tipper afford the on the spot fine or prosecution and a criminal record ?

It is a wet day however I have been making soundings for help on our garden project & i hope to have more information on this soon so as the saying goes watch this space.

What do you think about your local environment. A short walk around our wee bit of the planet I became aware of the state of thing are in parts of the area.Last Sunday I took a short walk up Chapel St up around the old factory site I found the following .

                                             Also in the river at bridge that leads to Cogan St

 A bit of a mess. sad times this was a nice walk in the past.

Just a note about our next meeting it will be held on Tuesday 8May 2012 in the hall at 7pm .Not on Tuesday the 1st this is dew to the elections.

We have just had information about an exciting new project down in Voluntary Action it is called tine banking more information on (http://barrheadandneilstontimebank.blogspot.co.uk ) Have a look you may find it of use. 

We hope to circulate a questionnaire around our area soon this will give an idea of what you hope for in Dalmeny area. In the mean time if you have any project in mind please get in touch at dalmenytra@gmail.com.

We have identified possible locations for our community garden project two in our park. The bit of land in Blackwood St ( This may be the best as it has a fence & a locked gate. ) also the now vacant garage site in Gertrude Pl. Also something is possible with the two corner sights in Dalmeny Dr.I will post pictures soon.If you can assist please contact us dalmenytra@gmail.com

Clearance Work

The garage site at the top of Gertrude Place has been tided up. We hope that it will not be used for fly tipping.

To night at or wee meeting the issue was raised about missing drain covers etc and the condition of the cemetery . Also concern that people are hanging around and causing unrest to visitors do you have any input ?. This has been passed on for action.

Have you had a look at the state of dog fouling in our neighborhood ?. This is detrimental to health of all in our little bit of town please clean up after your pet.Just to remind you allowing a dog to full you will be fined if & when the wardens catch you.

East Renfrewshire Council  have been requested to take action on anti social tenant's.More information as it is released to us.How ever you can contact us if you wish to add anything. Remember our meeting.
