Almost Christmas Day have a thought for some of the people who may not have such a good time . Yesterday it came to my attention that there are the carers out in our community looking after very vulnerable people who will be working on Christmas Day Some will be leaving their families to attend to others.

There is a forgotten group in our community that is the young carers some very young indeed. I have been informed that there are some as young as 10 going home at lunch time from school to insure that a parent is fed and has their proper medicine. If you know a child in this situation over the holiday please try and help. A young child should be just that.

As I sit and type this little posting I am watching the usual Sunday morning comment program I wonder what world some of the commentator's live in.

At the 8th Jan 2014 there will be a public meeting at 7pm in the Dunterlie centre there will be speakers on the subject of the rent increase for 2014. Come along and hear the views and perhaps have your say.Rent increases area sore point with all tenants.

It may be of interest that there was an interesting articular on this issue in The Telegraph (on Line) stating that rents were going up 1.8 time more than income. The point being income & not pay.

Once again look after yourself rememberer if you do not you will not be able to help a loved one.
