Just getting ready to go to a one day conference on mental health & wellbeing in later life. This is being held in Hampden Park Glasgow, This is an important issue particularly with more and more people entering the third age & more are on there one for several reasons. I hope to be able to post several bits of useful information.


I hope all are looking after their self's remember that if you do not take care of your self's you have no hope of looking afters an loved one.

We are still looking for people to join us to revitalise our wee group and bring life back to our hall. It is a nice hall a good hall and most of all it is our wee hall,

An other wet day over our wee bit of East Renfrewshire ( E R ). Most of the back yards are in a mess. Please take care if you are taking the bins out.

As the year rushes on we will all be getting letters about all sort of things from rent & c tax to pensions. If it is getting hard to understand contact our local Citizens advice ( C A B ) or you can contact  E R's money advice centre.

          Barrhead office of E R you can see the money advice people here. The local C A B is just over on the other side of Main St. The main ting is you do not suffer by your self.

Out and about

Out and about today getting a few picture for blog also paying rent ect so sad . just a note East Renfrewshire Council ( E R ) have transferred any credit on Council tax to tax year 2014/15 so do not worry your payments will be carried forward .

I have been studding report on E R rent account's and have submitted a question on the breakdown. I will  post information if and when I revive a reply.

I have been invited to attend a one day conference on mental health on Thursday. This I being held at our national football stadium. It has been a long time since I have been in the park.

Take carer if you are putting anything in the bin's. I was just putting stuff in the brown bin about 4 inches of mud.

Please do not forget that there are people in great need and by that I mean people are suffering in silence on our very neighbourhood.

Voluntary Action ( V A ) are looking for people to assist in a range of activities. If you wish to help look in on  V A at their offices in Kelburn St Barrhead.
